Hello, I'm Kristin, the wife to the man of my dreams, the momma to four precious kids, and the daughter to my Heavenly Father.

I believe in storytelling. I believe that we each have an individual lifesong.

I have an unhealthy obsession to mochas and Haagen Dazs chocolate peanut butter ice cream. I can usually justify the whip cream by getting nonfat milk ;)

If my feet aren't happy, I'm usually not either, which means I'm most comfortable with two pairs of socks on, or Dansko clogs on my feet. :)

I'm a traveler. I love the sights, sounds, smells, and the opportunities to just be a tourist. I've traveled to 33 states and nine countries. I don't think I'll ever get tired of the excitement of traveling.

I've always dreamed of doing destination weddings in exotic places.

I'm an addict to fresh flowers, candles, and good music.

I always save my favorite candles for special times. Especially my Thyme Frasier Fir candle.

I adore road trips with my Emily. They're not complete unless we have the perfect music playlist and our Starbucks drinks sitting side by side in the cupholders...and there's always some sort of photography book on the dash. Always.

My hero is Bob Willoughby. The words he said to me as I began founding Lifesong Photography made me realize that photography is not what I do, it is who I am.

I desire to appreciate each day. I choose to live with radical gratitude for each challenge and adventure.

My lifesong is full of adventures, challenges, laughter, tears, late nights, early mornings, long conversations and God-moments. It's real. It's my lifesong. And I desire to be there to capture yours.

About Emily

Hello love, I'm Emily, the girl who will wake up from a dream and try her very best to fall back asleep in order to finish the same dream. I'm the girl who opens her window during a thunderstorm just to listen to the pounding rain. Most often, you'll find me creating something. Usually it's a yummy Greek gyro or Thai spring rolls, a template or design in Photoshop, or a little thought from my heart in words.

I have a pair of red TOMs. They're my kicks for when I'm feeling adventurous.

I'm a chef. I cook. That's what I do. I'm addicted to anything Thai, Greek, or Indian inspired. Yum.

I'm a writer. I struggle sitting still when I read...so I write instead.

I love unsweetened iced green tea. All the time. I have a special mug dedicated to my extra hot chai...come on over and I'll make you a mug and we'll just sit and chat :)

I loove dresses. Dresses, boots, cardigans, cute headbands, scarves, and leather
jackets. Yes. That's my go-to happy style.

I could spend hours walking through Anthropologie.

I adore traveling...the street vendors, different languages, crazy sunsets, huge beaches, loud cities, little coffee shops. Ahh. I love it all. So does my camera.

I was diagnosed with Reflex Neurovascular Dystrophy in 2011 and every day, even through severe pain, I smile because I am so, so radically grateful for His goodness to me.

Photography is my way of finding gratitude in God's creation. His hand created you, beautifully and wonderfully, and through photography, I see who He is. He is powerful, faithful, and He is the One who saved me, thus making Him worthy of all my praises. And I praise Him through every click of the shutter. I love love stories, life stories, God moments, and I pretty much just love you, and I would love to photograph who you are in the eyes of Jesus.
